About Feed the Room

For the people who order lunch and the kitchens that cook it

Feed the Room is a catering marketplace for office teams and the independent restaurants and caterers who feed them.

Hands peel the foil lid off a full pan of scrambled eggs in a wire chafing rack, with a pan of bacon behind it.

Why we exist

Why we're building Feed the Room

Every office has someone whose job includes feeding the room. They know the headcount, the dietary notes and when the meeting starts. What they need is an easy way to order the right amount from a good kitchen nearby.

Independent restaurants and caterers already cook for crowds. When a marketplace sends them an order, its fees come out of the same margin that pays the cooks and buys the food.

We're building Feed the Room for both of them: ordering that starts with the headcount, and fees a restaurant can read before it signs up.

Why now

Catering marketplaces are consolidating.

Feed the Room is an independent alternative.

Uber has agreed to acquire ezCater (announced Oct 6, 2026; pending regulatory approval). Whatever comes next, Feed the Room's restaurant pricing is published: 10% on marketplace orders, 5% on orders a restaurant brings in itself and a flat 2.5% card processing fee.

What we believe

Four things we hold ourselves to

  • Start with the headcount

Ordering should begin with how many people are coming. Our sizing guide shows typical portions, and the restaurant confirms the exact ones.

  • Publish the fees

A restaurant should know what an order will cost it before saying yes. Our restaurant rates are on the pricing page for anyone to read.

  • Independent kitchens first

We're building for independent restaurants and caterers, and we're inviting founding restaurants now.

  • Say what's true today

We don't advertise a feature before it works. If something is in development or only planned, we label it that way.
